Jo Barrett is a London-based British artist who is renowned for her realist still life oil paintings.  She takes inspiration from the Dutch masters, with a focus on minimal compositions, capturing the essence of form, light and atmosphere through the careful selection of objects and the spaces they inhabit.  This is done through her use of delicate brush strokes and attention to detail.  She creates a harmonious blend between tradition and the present.  Jo Barrett graduated with a first class honors degree at Bath Spa University in 2000, and since then has been exhibiting in galleries in Bath, London and New York.  In addition, she has exhibited at art fairs globally.
